It will happen..... Somehow....
Nancy @ Near Phillip was cleaning out some stuff..... She very kindly sent me this kit..... Love the fabrics.... And it will be a good challenge for me.... Thanks Nancy

Went and saw a movie last night..... So funny ok I think Kate @ show and tell and I were the only people in the theatre who hadn't had hip replacements....... We watched 'The lady and the van '
I do enjoy Maggie Smith..... It was a bit different but I really enjoyed it..... Some funny moments..... And you have to watch all of it to link up some past secrets of her life......it's been years since I went to a movie let alone on its release date..... I could count on my fingers how many times I've been to the movies..... But I did have a great evening. .
Catch you later....

Yay, I hope you like it!I love Maggie Smith, I'd see anything with her in.
Love the fabric that came with the kit! I saw the preview for the movie, looked funny! Have a good weekend,
SOunds like a good movie. Slow and steady progress is good. And what a lovely kit. Enjoy. xo
I love Maggie Smith. We saw the shorts for that movie when we saw the movie Suffragette a couple of weeks ago, and thought it would be a good one to go see.
Slow progress is better than no progress!! It will happen! That is a lovely kit you have been given. I too love Maggie Smith, and hope to see this movie. Just watched her in a DVD last night called Keeping Mum, enjoyed it very much.
ooohhh I love the quilt on the book cover...yummmmm
Good to hear you and Kate were the spring chickens at the movies...xox
I imagine you two had a gret time. Too many distractions to get to NJ - but we are all hoping it happens for you....soon??
You'll get there! That block holder looks cool...is there a pattern for that?
Oooh! I'm off to see that movie next week. Looking forward to it. Making a day of it with lunch with a girlfriend before hand.
Can't see you finishing your quilt . I am quilting my Owls tomorrow.
I love Maggie Smith in anything she does, but I particularly liked her in Downton Abbey. She was so absolutely perfectly cast for her character, and her one liners are a hoot.
Beautiful fabric. Looking forward to seeing your quilt take shape.
xxx
I really want to see this movie. I think she is great
I would like to see that movie. Love everything Maggie Smith does.
Looks like a good book and that's a lovely kit too.
Love the new kit. You know you will get your current project completed.....I think Maggie Smith is great.
The last movie I went to was for my 40th birthday.....some friends took me....that was 20 years ago on Sunday. I love the new kit too but I'm so far behind in the quilting arena that I think I'm first....in fact I just found some "pinks" that I had looked at in my stash about five years ago and thought I'd have to use them in a scrappy they were so outdated......now they are back in "fashion".
Interesting projects, Chookyblue - keep going!! I'm off to see that movie on Tuesday. Best thing I did was join a movie club; we go once a month. Haven't seen so many movies in years!!
Love that pattern and fabric. I was thinking I might take mum to that movie.
I've been looking forward to that film coming out, l love Maggie Smith too.
All in good time.
Can't remember when I last went to the movies :)
I really like Kate's books too Chooky - achieveable even for dunces like me! I need to go order mine now!
Sounds like it was a great movie... and fab company too x
I might have to go and see that one. I haven't been to the movies in AGES
Arh, great minds. I to went and saw Lady in a Van, on Thursday, release day. with my Mum and youngest sister. we all enjoyed it. Though I was worn out after it, and flew back to the bush on Friday.
It looks like you will have pie,nth to do when you finish Natures Journey. Glad you had a trip to the pictures.
How did I miss this post? Great idea getting the fabric kit and I am sure your NJ quilt will come along nicely. Who can resist a good patchwork book? After all, I reckon it is better value to buy books which have heaps of projects you kniw you will make some day rather than pay for mags that may only have 1 or 2 projects to your liking. I love Maggie Smith too. Good to see you had a good laugh. Great for the soul.
Thanks for the book recommendation. Did buy it and I love it! Cheers!
