Hhmmmmm.....

yes I have stuff to show you...............like what I made before Christmas presents, 3 of my nieces have been here for a few days and we spent some time in the Chookshed............they did so well.....must show you that also..........
I'm behind in everything..........before they arrived I had a computer issue for a few days which took two  seconds to fix when you knew how too but I was too busy with other stuff to get to the computer to sort it out........I had a pile of posts open to comment on and lost the whole lot so way behind with that stuff...........then the little girls arrived...........
We also sorted up some cattle and weighed the heifers (girls) and steers (boys)............steers were too big for the buyer we thought we had - good problem but now we have found another market (different weights are suited to different buyers for different reasons)...........these are the heifers above but the bigger size ones are the same as the steers we are selling........they will be going to a feedlot next week...........
Willy Wagtail babies...........Not the clearest pic but I didn't want to disturb them too much so just held the phone up and pressed the button..........I could see two from the ground but there are three in the pic..........hope they survive the heat this week and it doesn't kill them..........I keep filling my bird baths for the parents................these babies will be out of the nest in a day or so........they are such happy birds to have in a garden.........
Sunrise one day in the last week...........
computer time has been taken up by walking or watering............the watering is so constant..............its the time of the year I wished I had a smaller garden........but I am thankful I have plenty of water in the dam so no issues with supply..........
How a mushroom would want to grow in this weather is beyond me.............
Its the 10th Jan and the avg temp has been almost 37 for the month...... today was 41 tomorrow 42 Thurs 43 Fri 44 Sat cool change 38.8............
but other places are hotter just thankful I don't live there........
off to bed it's almost 10pm and still 33deg........

Not sure when i will be back but it's a little busy over the next week or two.......
Oh and the new job is going great so far.......lots of familiar stuff as working in the same sort of area but new programs to learn and I just hope I can remember what I learnt to do today and be able to do it again tomorrow..........atleast the air con is amazing in the office......

Hope your finding some time to stitch.........
thanks for all your lovely comments..............
the interaction i why I love blogging so much........

Catch you later......
Chookyblue......

Keeping the love of blogging alive

I love it when you share your nature and livestock photos. I had never heard of a Willy Wagtail so it was nice to see them. Thanks for sharing. And now that I have learned something new, I can go home and quilt!

Very happy to hear the job is going well. That's a load off your mind! And I agree with everyone else, we love the home life pics of the livestock

Wow. I don’t know how you do it all! We are FREEZING at the moment so your warmth sounds nice. Of course I won’t be thinking so when summer comes. :-)

Love the glimpse of your life you share, through fabulous pics and your narratives, Chookyblue! Like Katie, we are in the negative temperatures at the moment, so it seems amazing that you're dealing with such hot weather - at least I know where to go if I wish to escape a Northern Hemisphere winter. ;o)

So glad the new job is going well and you have the water for your garden. Wish we had willy wag tails, hardly ever see them, but do think the sparrows are nesting, despite hubbys best efforts to plug up the likely spots in the house eaves!

Wonderful to hear the new job is going well for you, I am sure it will all slot into place once you have been there a little while. Love the farm photos, there are willy wagtails around here, I have never seen a nest though. Your weather is so hot, thankfully we have had a few cooler days here.

Good to hear your news, don't stress about replying to comments, watering takes a lot of time, and I complain about a couple of days over 40! Dont know how you do it, such constant heat. LOve your farm news too.

Wow, you are having quite a heat wave - it was 15 celsius when I got up this morning here in New Hampshire. Had to look up Willy Wagtails - sweet bird! Starting to snow again and the wind is picking up, but the weather is warming up for a couple of days starting tomorrow. Happy to hear you are enjoying your job. You certainly keep busy!

It's always busy at your place! Yes the constant watering. We have had a lot of wind here, it's hot and dries everything out. We do gave water restrictions though. Your cattle are looking good! Lad the job is going well, big sigh!! Still looking here.

A nice newsy post. Love your willy wagtails. They are such a fiesty bird. I've heard them called the Jack Russells of the feathered variety. We only see the occasional one here but have had two nests of blue wrens in our garden this year.

My - you are such a busy person!! Love catching up with you via your blog - I though my temperatures with the occasional 30+ was bad enough - really feel for you with your high temps....hope the little willy wagtails survive the heat! xx

Hmmmmmmm alright! ... so much happening. It's a nice change having your cattle too heavy for the regular market 😉
Crazy to think we look forward to a temp of 38 or below ... expecting 35 here Sunday so that will be quite pleasant compared to today and your temps. 😎
