Is there such a thing as a Stitchers Utopia???
Right now i am over loaded with life......it happens to all of us.....and we all get thru it somehow........work at home is being jammed in either side of town work hours and then weekends too.......then other pressures/stresses get thrown on top and its a challenge trying to find a balance and actually sleep.....clearly balance is not possible at the moment but it will happen......
Since Scrub Stitchin' i've been dreaming of just wanting to go back and stay there.....escape from the world........
A utopia (/juːˈtoʊpiə/ yoo-TOH-pee-ə) is an imagined community or society that possesses highly desirable or nearly perfect qualities for its citizens.[1][2] The opposite of a utopia is a dystopia. One could also say that utopia is a perfect "place" that has been designed so there are no problems.
So thinking of a Stitchers Utopia
Lets be a little silly and entertain me with what you think would be an essential item in a "Stitchers Utopia"...........
Catch you later...........Chookyblue.............

Stitchers Utopia for me, well that would be lots of thread, Gingher scissors, sunshine and cake :) oh, my best friend too ;)
Balance ... what a concept! Hang in there ... this too shall pass!
A good light and a glass of wine
Unlimited me time, so I could stitch and sew for as long as I wanted. For me, that would be Utopia.
A comfy chair and footstool....
Plenty of space and time to sew, sew, sew. Good company, and not having to worry about food prep! :)
Someone else doing the cleaning and cooking and laundry. :-)
wine....lots of wine.....
Hugz
Good company, G &T, , someone to cook...
My Stitchers Utopia - a place like Elm Creek (read the Jennifer Chiaverini novels), a comfy bed, good company, all domestics taken care of - all supplies at the ready, no bothersome phone calls and of course all my sewing that works the first time - no reverse sewing!!! Maybe a few good movies thrown in....and a bit of alcohol.
soundproof walls, a lock on the door - and maybe a moat around the building well stocked with piranha for good measure! (bottomless mug of tea and a cat goes without saying)
Hmm!! Stitch Utopia would be good company, lots of fun sewing, all the food catered for and a comfy bed.....
Good friends and music while stitching.....
An extra day in the week would be great - oh and plenty of wine too! xx
A comfy chair, lovelly like minded ladies, some sewing mojo, pleasant temperature, lots of tea and coffee. Food that magically appears ready to eat and most importantly wine!!
great quilty pals, idyllic seaside locale, someone to cook (and clean up)
You, me and not a care in the world
And don't forget, surrounded by trees, with a lake or beach nearby! Obviously, someone else is doing the cooking and cleaning up!
Sounds like everyone has covered all that is needed for Utopia. Hope life settles as much as it can for you soon.
Whatever meets our true needs is a utopia for me. :)
Unlimited time and my quilting sisters is all I need! Hope you reach Utopia soon!
Oh I love all these comments - uninterrupted time to stitch and sew would be the ultimate for me! Hope you get the balance right soon.
Plenty of time to sew without the guilt of family life....ohh and gin...lots of gin and tonic..oops all my sewing friends and chits n giggles, no utopia is complete without that..ohh and all the meals and and unlimited clothes and knickers so no washing too heheheheh
I fully understand your sentiments girl. This past week has been chaotic emotionally and physically thus my lack of blog hopping. Hope you are feeling more positive now.
I think many other quilters will think I live in a Stitchers Utopia. I’m sort of retired, with plenty of time on my hands, a great stash of fabrics and lots of projects to work on. The weather is awesome, the husband takes care of the meals, add the chocolate and a latte macchiato and there’s my Utopia!
