I'm very sad to say this year there will be no Secret Santa Christmas Swap............SSCS
Yes an effect of the on going drought..........I'm very sad about this as it has been running for so many years but I just cannot organise it.............there is no rain in sight and I just cannot organise the swap......my days are very long and full and I have a pile of farm/buiness work that is not being done here as it is.......I don't even have time to sew to make a gift...........I know other years I have even had a helper but not even this will work this year.........I am SOOOOOOOO sorry............I feel really bad about the decision......and I know I will be sad at Christmas time but I just cannot manage it.............
I will just have to see what happens for 2019.........
Sorry.........

  1. Dear Chooky. Everyone will fully understand and I think will have long since realised that the swap would have been the straw that broke the camel's back. Don't beat yourself up about it. This drought WILL end one day and life as (relatively) normal will resume then.

  2. No need to apologise. You need to focus on your & your home. Sewing is an extra only if it's fun not stressful. All,is good.

  8. That is sad news, I know I haven't taken part recently, but I enjoyed seeing what others had received. Don't apologise Chooky, you have your hands full with everything that is happening in your own life, without worrying about all of us too. Those of us who care just want you to be happy and healthy and rained upon, preferably at regular intervals.

  14. Awww, Donna, I'm sorry to hear that you're having such a rough time. You have to do what's best for you -- there will always be another day. Hopefully the drought will end soon -- it's just not fair. We've had too much rain this year -- we keep saying if only we could send some to the western US or over to you. Keep your chin up ... xoxo

  16. So sorry to read this and yet I so understand ... Isn't it strange that I still cannot post a comment under my google account. Hum ... and now I have to select picture squares that looks like whatever the word is ... and I'm not good at that ... frustration!

  21. Family always comes first. . . two legged and four legged.

Friends will understand and not have any issues.

Praying that things turn around for all of you and that the rains come soon. . .in beneficial amounts.

I am sure that North and South Carolina would gladly ship the water they are dealing with your way if it was possible.

    Be well.
