Chookshed Party Plans........

Well friends it has been a quiet and sad weekend. I've tried to do things to distract myself with other things since the Chookshed 8th Birthday party can't happen as usual this year.

My friend Kate who had been here for all but the first sent me some messages yesterday.........shes also missing the fun. 

So as i'm on town work holidays I hope to get things a little more organised & next weekend (which is a long weekend in my part of the world) i'm going to have a real virtual party.........I know over the years many of you have joined in at home and stitched with us where ever you were in the world..........BUT this year i'm going to try & really go virtual........

I'm going to have a zoom sewing day or two..........see how I go............got to work out the time zones... who's awake when.......but I would love you my friends here to join.......if you can't or don't want to join the video link up then you can just sew along as usual & do a post & let me know........but I did a zoom meeting all day for the Covid cancelled Scrub Stitchin' Retreat & it worked really well..........

I've even been doing a little hand stitching lately.......I found a layer cake & if I have some background fabric to suit I have designed a quilt........

Chookshed party thoughts.....

Proof I have been sewing a little bit..... Just a thread here or there but these little stitcheries are getting done..... 

The sunsets have been amazing

Just some thoughts..... Since part of the chookshed party has been cancelled as in real friends coming for a sleep over to sew with me... But you out there online have joined in most years..... 

So this year I'm thinking of really going virtual..... I mean usually you share a post of what you got up to...... 

But

Would you join virtually online in a zoom link up?

Scrub Stitchin' Corona Style........

 Wow sorry i've been trying to get here..........had issues emailing my pics to the post like i usually do so I got delayed........Life's busy for me........work continues and with the changes due to corona virus its very hectic.....no chance to work from home or sit at home and sew like some........

We've had rain and things have been lovely and green........drying out a bit at present but we have an amazing bulk of feed in the paddocks for the stock.........its been wonderful not feeding.......yes we have been doing that for 3 years.......

Due to corona virus Scrub Stitchin' had to be cancelled........I was so devastated........I had been looking forward for months and months to the time away, see everyone and to stop.........It was supposed to be the weekend before easter.........in the end I pushed it back a week as I figured no one would have anything fun to do at easter so we could all joined in together then online.....

So we had a zoom sewing day..........it was the next best thing really...........we got on at 10am and the last of us got off about 5pm..........it was just lovely to sit and stitch and chat...........

So what did we stitch???

I decided I would try and send everyone a treat.......in the end given the rapid chances with corona virus I ended up getting Anni from The Home Patch / Hatched and Patched to send off the parcels directly.............

I had been so busy over summer I asked my friend Anni what new projects did she have...........this ended up with Anni making a special design just for us.........

I just asked the girls to choose pink or blue........they had no idea why..........

Thanks to all the Scrub girls for making the day great...........it was so wonderful to catch up.......

we also had more lovely rain around easter and the creek filled up.........no need to isolate we couldn't go anywhere anyway.....

Stay tuned.......i'll be back pretty soon...........the Chookshed 8th Birthday party was supposed to be next weekend but it's also cancelled due to Corona........BUT I have plans for the following Saturday or Sunday.......more on that soon......

OMG I almost forgot..........I have a spare kit.........given the issues with postage at present this will be a Australia only draw.........sorry international girls........
