So I ironed these lovely French General fabrics and thinking of some kind of big block quilt to show off the lovely prints........I think I could have some more FG fabrics tucked away so must do a quick search to see what I find............I actually have 2 fat1/4s of each print......
I think two families of emu babies must have combined as there was only one adult emu with this group of I think 15 young ones.........they are darker younger and a little smaller then the adult still at this stage.......they had walked up to the fence a bit from where they were......they are really inquisitive......
Have a great Sunday.......some domestic duties then time with Fairy Girl..........maybe we will end up out in the Chookshed to prep something........maybe not......see what happens......
Stay Safe.....
Catch you later......
Chookyblue.......
Beautiful fabrics to dream about..... looking forward to what you come up with...

What a collection of beautiful fabrics. Hope you do get some chookshed time with Fairy girl this afternoon. Interesting to see the emu, maybe they don't need as much adult care as they grow?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you will make something lovely with the fabrics. Yes, they need a larger scale to shine. So good to see emus flourishing again. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteTime to prep some serious bits for the next Chook Shed party. I purchased at least 3-4 fat quarter bundles and a few yards of solids of the French Generals. I am using them to make my Morrell Quilt. Need to pull that one out of the cupboard as soon as I finish about 27 others first.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous fabrics, look forward to see what you make with them. Hugs, xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful French General fabrics! I hope you find a pattern which will allow the fabrics to shine.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabrics enjoy playing with them.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo of the emus in lush green....
I hope you had a great day with Fairy Girl.
ReplyDeleteLove to hear about the emus.
Such lovely fabrics. Google the Moda Love layer cake pattern. There is a free PDF download. See if you like that pattern to show off the fabrics. I have some lovely large prints I am going to use that way, so I don't have to cut them up and lose the beauty.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of Emu young ones to leave with one "sitter". :)
Yummo! French General! The baby emus are so cute. We saw the same with ducks in Mildura...heaps and heaps of ducklings with one adult shepherding them along x
