if I choose one word today I would say
"adaptable"

hardy....definitely need to have hardiness to be adaptable and to hang in when things go awry...
I'm not as rural as you are, but we love our mountain living. Sorry I didn't make the Chookshed Stitchers this past time, it has been a bit busy here. Friend in the hospital with urgent cardiac bypass surgery, and I have a funeral today for the wife of a pickleball buddy. Not the greatest of weekends.
