Adding a picture to your side bar...........

before you do all the below............find the picture you want (usually on someone elses blog) a swap logo etc ..............right click on the picture and save it to your desktop (easy to find and you can delete it later once added to your blog)
sign in --> from the dashboard--> layout --> page elements --> on the left click on add a gadget (edited used to say add a page element)
Now there are heaps of different things to add here...........we want to add a picture ...........(like a logo for a swap etc)
edit this has now changes to a list with different logos but same idea........
you can add a "title" and "caption" but I don't..........
"link" - I put the website in here where you want to picture to link to but you don't need to put something in here either..............
edit: like your swap organisers blog address, another blog etc
find the image on your computer (remember you saved it to you desktop)
make sure "shrink to fit" is ticked and "save" your setting as you exit................
let me know how you go..............
Take care til next time..................Chookyblue

I'm thinking you put up this particular lesson because very soon we are going to need to put up our Secret Santa logo pictures!

This is a great tutorial, but I can't access 'Add a Page Element' to my Blogspot blog. I've searched to try to find it but no luck. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks, Peg

Many thanks.....I knew how to add a picture, it was adding a link that I was unsure about, and with fried brain cells in this heat I wasn't doing too well at all!

Thanks for sharing, and another question. How do I turn off the music before clicking on another link?

Thanks a lot for info. By the end of the 12 months I sure will be an expert on blogs as well :-) and my Garden Journal will be up on the wall. That is a big promiss!
