What's for dinner at your place...........

If you want a yummy dinner with left overs cook this.........makes enough for our family of 4 for a couple of nights.............

Ingredients

Masterfoods finishing sauce - wholegrain mustard with honey

crumbed chicken wedges (I cut my pieces into 4-6 pieces)

carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, potato, pumpkin, sweet potato, (whatever vegies you love)

cut everything pretty small and cook (just) I usually julienne my potat and carrots so it is quicker

2-3 cups cooked rice

300ml cream

mushrooms (don't cook just slice)

place cooked rice in baking dish about 1/3 of the depth............

spread cooked vegies all over making the next 1/3rd of the depth...........

cut up the crumbed pieces of chicken and place over the top.......lay the slices of mushroom on top and then combine the cream and wholegrain with honey sauce (dilutes the flavour so the kids will eat it and I like it better too) and pour over the dishes............(I make 2 dishes this size at once)

cook in the oven (180 deg cel) until the mushrooms are cooked..............approx 15 mins (best thing my family don't eat the mushrooms so I get all of them)

very yummy................my girl friend made this when  I went to visit a few months ago and I have made it several times since then............oh and homebrand have a sauce like the masterfoods one but it is NOT as nice.............

whats a yummy meal at your place?????

.........take care til next time.............

Yum! I'll have a go at that one! Can it be frozen if there's left overs? We love Sausage and Sweet Potato Fritata here......! :)

Lol! I love the mushroom comment! I always put them in because then I get to eat them all too. We had a slowcooked sausage hot pot tonight with mash and peas. It's the first time we had tried it and I wouldn't make it again. (Didn't really like it) I am crazy for leftovers. They make wonderful breakfast, but we don't often have them here. A house full of teenagers pretty much ensures there are no leftovers!

Yeah, no, leave out the mushies for me!

We had meatballs with tomatoey sauce and steamed vegies.

I am so hungry now! We had home baked pizza here. I don't think we have that sauce here in Texas. We do have Mexican food, very super yummy! I guess I better post a recipe on my blog that my family loves too. You always have the most interesting things going on at your house. I better finish this pizza and get dressed for my day, lol. Thanks again, Elaine from Texas

That looks good Chooky - you've inspired me to try something new. No great shakes at this address lately.

Sounds delish!
We do cooked pasta, cooked meat of your choice, or fish. Cooked veges, any. A tub of herby cream cheese such a philadelphia and a quarter pint of milk, mix all together while pasta is still warm, leave on the heat until the cheese 'sauce' is warmed through. Serve.
We're having something similar tonight, fried bacon and mushrooms, pasta and a powdered sauce mix, just add hot milk and simmer.

Mmmm looks yummy. Think I have to try this. Don`t think I get the sauce here in Norway, but I know a couple of others I could be using.

I made something like this some weeks ago, but not with leftovers. May be I publish my recipe on my blog later....

Like your comment about the mushrooms, could be me actually.

Yum Yum!!!! I tried it and made it twice..... It was a hit.
I'll just use crumbed chicken snitzels or steaks next time.

I love the look of this and will try to make something similar. There's no way I can get that sauce here but there must be something I can use instead.
We had Spanish tortilla here tonight.
First time I've attempted to make one and not sure it is as good as a Spanish senora could do but we enjoyed it.
