The Fabric of Society.........

Have you seen this book............it is just wonderful history of Australia's Quilt Heritage...........I just love this quilt on the cover and I would like to make it - can't see that happening for awhile or even how I would do it but we have to have dreams don't we...........

The book is by Annette Gero...........

looks like a wonderful book. Did you purchase it from an Aussie store? Wouldn't mind one of these....love antique quilts...they're just so homely (is that right word?)...comfy and lived in or on....

Thanks for showing this book to us all....I didnt know it existed and will be very interested in getting a copy as I have often wondered about Australias heritage in quilts.

I can say it is a great book. I saw that cover quilt at the Sydney show but I have no idea if it was the original.

I bought the book too...just had to have it...it's wonderful!,
There's so many quilts in there that I would love to make, but I'll need another 2-3 lifetimes to do that.
The stories are wonderful to read..
