real bread?????

Yep we have a bread maker and I would class that as real bread but yesterday the buttons wouldn't work (dh now fixed) and I had already put the ingredients in and didn't want to waste it so I poured it into another bowl and mixed it up myself .....some kneading > rising > kneading > rising then I decided to plait it and baked it in the oven......

....now Fairy Girl says "Mum you can make real bread"

must say it was pretty good............esp with a yummy beef casserole.........perfect for a cold  freezing day

Take care til next time.........Chookyblue...........
PS apologies for lack of smelly internet............
PSS got some quilts back to bind today and also my pincushion swap..........will post swap pics as soon as I get a chance to take some

Hey Donna! Mmmmm ... nothing much yummier than freshly baked 'real' bread! :0) Perhaps it's time I dusted off the ol' breadmaker - been so long since I used it, I'll have to read the instruction book again! Stay warm - Bear Hugs! KRIS

I agree, I would call this "REAL" bread too. Sounds nice with the casserole. Maybe I should make one of those today? Or chicken soup. Yum Yum....

I can almost smell it! It's much more satisfying making it by hand than it is bunging all the stuff in a machine isn't it?

I discovered that if you put chopped Garlic in your bread you could have the yummiest bread without all that butter. It is a real hit in my family specially with hot soup :-)
