This quilt was finished in May but I have only just got around to posting it.....too much happening here........
......Last year woops the year before 2009 Christine from Once Upon a Quilt held a nine patch swap.......civil war prints........this was what started my love of the fabrics............I didn't really know what they were before this swap............Lurline and another lovely person I can't think of helped me out with the first month of blocks we had to do as I didn't have any fabrics or access to them so she sent me some to get started..................
......
Christine thanks once again for organising this great swap.............
this is my version once I got the swapped blocks back.............
love it on point..........and the dark chocolate fabric..............
This is a big quilt..........approx 2mx2.2m
Vicki did a great job on the quilting for this one..............
Thanks girls I love it.......
Catch you later..............

Beautiful quilt and great to have the history of a quilt swap to go with it! Have you got a label on the back with all those names who sent you blocks?
Happy stitching, Michelle.

Yum!!
I love your nine patch quilt! What a great swap to be a part of. I really like your setting.
Way to go! It looks great! I like those fabrics... well I live so close to a shop that sells those fabrics - very spoilt I am!
Stunning Chooky...
Very nice I just bought three fat quarters yesterday of reproduction fabrics
Looks gorgeous Chooky. I see you are enjoying paper piecing - I am making Pies and Tarts as my lunchtime stitching now that I've finished stitching The Wish Quilt.
Oh I love this! Yes, that swap was my introduction to reproductions too. Mine are still squares, but I am determined to finish mine this year!
It is very pretty with a real olde world charm.
Not my normal choice of colors but I love it!! Just proves that you should sometimes look outside your normal range.
Beautiful. Those nine patches really pop out of the brown.
