sheep, bulls and no sewing.......

well 2 and a 1/2 days in the sheep yards and I am busted...........
the sheep were only shorn just over a month ago and with some fresh green grass they are full of life..........it's been some time since they have bounded thru the yards like this.........so much so Boy Wonder doesn't really remember it.....(yes it has probably been years sadly)......I have a nice bruise in the back of my leg from one of my close encounters...............
Someone asked what is a "poddy"........sheep or cattle it is a baby that has no mum and usually been hand raised........often they get a poddy gut hence the nickname...........
the 3 sheep at the front are from last year.....here you will see them.........we lost a couple but we kept 6 or 7 alive...........there are 5 still that hang together very well............they are funny they will always end up on the edge of the mob.....not really wanting to associate with the "other" lambs.........
i've been to a bull sale...........welcome home Mr..........
Usually it is a place full of men with few women...........well that's my experience and when the auctioneer said the bull went to my husband I was like hang on a minute I was the one doing the shopping........lets just say he got the look and corrected himself.............
In farming somethings are so male orientated still.........MOVE ON MEN........
The keets are growing heaps...........nearly 3 weeks old............
We tried to put the 2 babies we kept inside back with Mumma...........we put one in and she nearly killeed it................OMG.............Boy Wonder caught her in the net and we got the baby back......in shock I am sure but ok.............so now onto plan B as I am sick of them in the cage in the kitchen.............they will be going to another cage outside on the weekend when the weather is much milder..............pretty chilly today with a terrible wind..........picking up dust.....yuck...........
Anyway must go...........show and bed......
7.30pm to early for bed???
Might not be back til next week........
All good just lots on.....still got to report in on last weekend..............
NO sewing though tooo tired.........
Catch you later.......

Never a dull moment at your place with all your variety of babies. Hope you can sneak in some sewing soon.

Busy, busy, busy! Nice shopping. It sounds like you deserve to hit the sack early after all your yard work. Have fun with those baby keets. It sounds like you will be playing mums for a while longer. Hopefully you will get to do some stitching one day.

The kattle looking so nice, yet a big struggle from your part. New word about the sheep, thanking you for lots of info. Good luck with your leg and of course happy sewing, hope your Autumn will give lots of pleasure :-)

Sounds like you deserve to go to bed early you poor thing...hope the bruise isn't to bad...don't those sheep know you are only trying to help them, they should be making you a cuppa tea and giving you a biscuit.

I'm always so glad to see green grass in your photos! That means there's be rain! The sheep look great (oh, shoot what do I know about sheep except my dog was bred to herd them and she doesn't know what one even looks like!) Doing all the work outside always makes sewing impossible for me, I'm tired and I don't want to unsew things later. Hope your work levels out soon. Blessed Be.

Always sew busy on the farm.
A handsome bull you purchased...
Hope the keets will eventually go into the cage with mum and the others.

Dear Chooky,
it looks very busy in your life and everything looks so neat and happy and in a way pieceful.
I get estimates from businesses labeld with Mr. Sylvia... yes, it is that way in the computers or heads.
Have a great day,...night...it is not to early to go to bed unless you feel like stitching.
Greetings,
Sylvia
