Weekend at Kates..........

Such a fun time with Kate @ Show and Tell a few weeks ago.............very busy since but catching up with posts..............
very kindly an offline friend Cheryl gave me some fabrics.........I thought  it would be great to use one of the jelly rolls she gave me for a good cause....spread the love......we choose Chelsea Boutique.......
Kate was forced came on board for this second quilt for the Dungog floods........
She did all the sewing as I could not get the right seam allowance on her machine and I cut and ironed............as Kate says it was pretty much a sweat shop while we made the quilt..........each pushing each other along.........
Kate really wanted to keep the quilt.......we both love the colours............
4.30 the blocks were all laid out and ready to start joining.......auditioning some boarders...........
by 10.30pm we were done..........that includes socialising with Bloom and a dinner break...........
the dark brown narrow border framed it well.........

The quilt has now made it's way to Jan @ Red Shed Quilting who very kindly offered to quilt it at no cost.............
We had a little break out shopping and found this great backing fabric.......would be perfect on my blue lanterns quilt...........I agree but left it there........Kate holding it while I snapped a pic to remember the fabric.............
Enjoyed the beautiful autumn colours while in the cooler climate too.............
And her camellia plant was loaded with flowers..............
thank  Kate for having Fairy Girl and me for a sleep over..........
we had a great time in the "studio shed".........
Catch you later.......
Chookyblue.........
