Out and about......

Wow how cold is it..........pretty sure its record lows here..........
regardless some things still need to happen and I have been out on the bike moving some cows who were in the wrong paddock...........
I am sure I looked like summo woman with all the layers on and beanie and scarf and glasses you could see some fat cheeks and the bridge of my nose........everything else covered...........
I do need new motor bike gloves too...........
I went to check the feeders and when I tipped a feeder over this pile of grain has shot between the feeders......pretty cool seeing the profile that is normally under the ground.............
unfortunately there was some rotten sprung grain in some too and we had to clean that out...........very stinky rotten grain............
And this feeder had several gulars caught in it chasing the grain when I got there...........this one could not fly out.....it's not really wide enough for their wing span and I could not reach it...........
Mr Chooky came over and he tipped it out............
We need to fill the feeders but it is a bit too wet for that need a few more days without rain.......
the first paddock of oats is coming along slowly...............

All the gilgis are full and this one had lilli pads in it.....how does this happen when you can have such dry weather........
Nature amazes me............
I had gumboots on so could walk in to take closer pics..........
bugger this one is  sideways............
delicate and pretty......
And the reason why we went out to start with.............
more wood for the fire.............
Catch you later.........

The lily-pads with its yellow fringed flowers are just stunning. Yes I do agree... nature is just so amazing how it bounces back once rain arrives.

We're melting in damp humid heat - raining today, not that it does anything for the temps. Still over 20. Loving the farmlife stories. And seeing how different the seasons are between here and there. :)

Just as well you were out checking the feeders. Poor bird. Must have been a wee bit chilly out there. Hope you are keeping your immunity built up girl!

Bitterly cold here too, but makes sewing inside so much more fun! Fermenting grain, yep it smells horrible! Glad you found some firewood. How are the roads holding up, hope you can get to town safely?

I'm glad you could rescue the poor bird...cool here too - nice to get some winter. Your Lucy blocks look fabulous. Would be lovely to have a wood fire.

Silly galah!! But good to hear it was rescued!! I hope the wood was dry enough for your fire! Isn't nature amazing, things must be waiting under the ground for some water and then they leap into life. The waterlily is beautiful!!
