That’s great to see them eating. Pray rain comes.

I looked up what white cottonseed is. Never hard of it before. I hope the draught will soon be over as these beautiful cows need a drop of rain (and human beings probably as well...

Cottonseed, never thought of it as a feed for cows. I take it, these are desperate measures. I can see the changes here in the landscape after only a couple of weeks with hardly (still some) rain. To go without for years.... I feel so sorry for al you farmers. It must be so hard to cope with.
In your photo I did also enjoy the odd one out! Too funny, enjoy your afternoon, our day has just started.

It's a hard life on the land and can be quite unforgiving, then on the other hand quite rewarding. Takes a certain breed of man and woman to stand side by side through it all. I love your caring nature for your animals... but don't forget yourselfs xxx

It must be a nightmare for you and all the other farmers: so long without rain. 😳

obviously you wouldn't feed it to them if it wasn't ok for them to eat but I had to smile because they look like they are nuzzling lint. Nothing we say will help ease the drought but know we are watching the sky.

I had no idea they ate it. Is it because it's cheaper than hay?

Grim times for you 🤗 My stepdaughter says they're feeding with molasses at the moment...but I think they have had more rain this year than your part of Australia.

Wish there was something I could do. Goodness knows it's been way to long. We had some much needed rain today. It's been a dry (in the sense of rain) hot humid summer. So thankful for a/c and electricity! Hugs
