French General quilt......

Finally getting to the post......
I showed this quilt to the zoom girls last week.......
So remember this bundle.............
then I added to it.......only needed a couple but got too many extras....
Starting to sew the blocks together......
Love the big blocks..........shows off the big prints.........
It was such fun to work on a big block quilt and have quick results..........
As my leader and ender i pieced some of the quilt on the design wall.........
Ta da........what do you think.......I'm pretty happy with this one.....great pattern for big prints.....
Just made it up as I went........using Aussie fat 1/4's I was able to cut 20" blocks......
This is the first quilt top I have made in ages......like super ages I think......
Anyone got an idea what to call it???
I haven't thought of one yet...........
Just a nice photo I snapped on the weekend I thought I would share.....
Stay safe......
Catch you later.....
Chookyblue....
Catch you later.......

I think I've pulled enough fabric for this!

So glad you got some time to whip up this gem. I think I would call it, "The Big Happy". Enjoy the day.

Or The Big Easy--as in New Orleans, possibly the French Quarter. Did you get all the plays on words in there? French General Fabrics, made from fat quarters--big and easy.

Looks great Chooky, great feeling to have a top made so quickly, note, I won't call it a finish as you haven't quilted it yet! I would call it "Off Centre".

Beautiful quilt top Chooky with beautiful fabrics, I love big blocks too, so good to get the top together quickly. So nice to see the green.

Lovely quilt Chooky, nice variety with all those beautiful prints. They do show off in your quilt top. Only name I can think of is Rosalia, because of all those beautiful flowers in it.

Love the fabrics and how they came together so beautifully. Chuffed! That is what you are feeling so maybe you can call it that.

Yay, it is pretty, fun to make, gives you the "feel gooders". I am not good with names so I will leave that to you.

Your nature photos make my heart sing - it is so cold and gray (and currently icy) here. I love the top and like the suggestion for Off Centre as a name. My only other thought would be a woman's name (perhaps you know someone who loves those colors or grows flowers in that range - my grandfather who came from England called his back yard his cottage garden - his flowers were so pretty like the prints in your quilt top).

Maybe Cottage Garden as a name? (that's what my grandfather who came from England called his back yard - filled with the most gorgeous flowers).

Lovely, Is it the same pattern as Denice used?
I too think I have some fabric that would suit that and get it off my shelf
