do cows like hot pink.........

I used to use green tags but now 2 different neighbours use the same so I have decided to change to hot pink.........how do you think these will look on my black calves.......pretty cute I think and the boys well they just have to cope and be trendy new age calves and be cool to wear pink..............lol

Anyway what have I been up to today....................it was a pretty hot day so we were in the cattle yards marking calves at daylight......they all get one of these hot pink tags in their ears.......and we finished by lunch time 33 deg then.........later this arvo we had to go out again as we needed to take a few to town and it was 39 then............do you know how hot metal is then................I was just about melted by the time I came back in..........early to bed tonight as I have done nothing for days so it was a huge day for me..........easy day again tomorrow

it's just before 8pm and just under 38 deg cel..............bring on some cooler weather........nothing forecast and since well before the new year we have had 3 days under 34 deg........(32deg) it sure is summer at my place.............

Here is the little niece who received the skirt with the ruffles...........she loved it..........

Thanks for all the comments re my last post........I will pull some thoughts together on it very soon...........nighty night..........

.........take care til next time.............
.......Chookyblue..........

I know if I were a cow, I would rather have the pink tags instead of those ugly yellow ones. I do think the lettering should have been done in purple. The skirt is tres chic. Nice job! TTFN...Lilly

What a beautiful job.... wish I was that talented.
I'm wondering how your Mom is?
I keep checking her blog, and she has'nt written anything.
Hope she's doing okay.
Love your blog too by the way :)

Oh my.......your going to have the "coolest cows"

Didn't you ask the cows what they'd like? I do hope that they'll be happy with your choice!! As long as your paddocks aren't like one of those Gary Larson cards where the cows are all standing up discussing their true feelings while no people are around!!!!!

Love the skirt. Love the ear tags, though I don't know if I would be putting them on any bulls you send to market. People will ask questions. lol.

Hot Pink, just perfect!!!! LOL!!!
We got to 43 yesterday which made it absolutely horrible loading goats at 7pm last night when I swear it hadn't cooled down any... Thank goodness today is a hell of a lot cooler. You take care and don't burn yourself out..

Hi Checking out the blog of the month from a legacy of stitches.I don't know when you get time to sew with the work outside with the farm and animals! The pink tags get my vote also.

I have a collection of cow pictures...cows at the beach, etc. But never knew one to flaunt pink! Pink tags aside, let's focus on the heat for a minute! Send me some! It's -28C here this morning and I can't take much more!

Hey Chook, back in the loop after a week in the wilderness! Yes I am sure they like hot pink, perfect contrast for them. Cute skirt. Sorry about the heat, haven't been tracking it. Hot but nice breezes coming through here. You probably don't need to hear that!

We use green tags in our cows too. We recently purchased a cow that had a red tag, red tags look very nice in black and white cows, but DH has no intention of changing...men they just dont get it. I think Pink in Black cows will look very mod. Go with it!!
