popping in.....

Queen Anne's Lace it such a delicate looking plant but it grows on the side of the road so its pretty hardy..........
summer is here and back at work.......covid numbers are going off here like they are around the world so best to avoid people......... they think it should peek late Jan/early Feb.......how they know that is beyond me since they had no idea this was going to happen early December......
Lots of cool cloud days lately and storms around the last few nights.........not much night before last but last night we got 32mm........
Harvest is not complete and now stopped until it dries out once again...........
haven't got bogged so far but its pretty slow going with all the green in the crop from new growth.........normally this would have been completed by late November......
This should just be golden..........no green........

*****Anne - you left a comment on my last post and I cannot reply to you as the comment didn't come thru to my emails.....sorry......I have a couple people this happens too*****
Anyway that's it for me...........
Have a great weekend........
Catch you later......
Chookyblue.......

Our governments here, both provincial and federal spoke about the cases going to rise starting the end of December and probably through to February. This wave is probably the worst for infections that my country has gone through so far.

I hope you get the crop off.

God bless.

That plant is so pretty. Don't think I'd ever seen them before. Yes those covid numbers are crazy - best to stay away from everyone and in the sewing room :)

Best idea to stay at home. Hope the ground dries out for you soon. The Queen Ann lace is beautiful.

Covid numbers were predicted to go up here about this time as people got together for Christmas, then two weeks later we get a surge in cases. Our positivity percentage for testing is now over 30%. Lots of things being canceled again, and I think I'll just stay home and sew this winter, as much as I can.

The queen Ann’s lace prompted some memories from my childhood. It grew wild at our ranch in the mountains of Colorado, USA.

Queen Ann's Lace is always pretty. How frustrating to have more harvest delays.

I love to see wild flowers blooming.
Hope you get that crop off soon.
I think all the governments are just making it up as they go....

The Queens Anne Lace is very pretty...hope the rain stops so you can get that harvest done and dusted...Lou has said it best about how "they" know what is going to happen :)...

The weather is topsy turvy here. Heating on one day, air con the next! Love that plant. I have seen it in cottage gardens. No surprise about the surge in cases. Many are not being reported due to RATs and the govt. is relying on people taking personal responsibility to do the right thing... ummmmm really? Take care and keep on stitching.

Yes, its' certainly good to stay at home, if you can, and just as well we have plenty of stitching to keep us occupied. Not seem that plant growing on the side of the road down this way, thought it was a garden plant.

Great photos Chooky, interesting to read that it is supposed to be yellow and back in November. What does that all mean exactly for you - is it really bad or just not great? (sorry for the ignorance).
Seems here in Melbourne it's more who hasn't got covid rather than who has. We're supposed to be heading to Gippsland on Sunday so staying low and fingers crossed we avoid it all. My daughter made the right decision in not going to 18th birthday's recently as they've all tested positive. My 9 member book club only has two families not affected. Fortunately I was able to get my booster earlier than scheduled. no food on shelves. Crazy times. Stay safe.

Love Queen Annes Lace and must get some seed for my garden here ...... hoping harvest gets finished soon ...... wondering if this comment has made it to your email inbox or not??

Queen Anne's Lace is one of my favorite flowers. Some things, like flowers and quilting, are fun to share from continent to continent. Others, like Covid are NOT. I do hope it will slow down worldwide soon. At least, thanks to quilters like you, we can sew together online! Your Lucy is really coming along. What a treasure.

Sorry your growing/harvesting is off kilter.
I have heard of Queen Anne's Lace and now I know it is a flower/plant thanks to you. It is lovely.
