watching the grass grow.....

Thankfully I made the decision to work from home on Wednesday.........
by 8.30am it had started to rain...........
by Thursday morning we had 50mm........
Yesterday afternoon we decided to go for a ride around............
creeks were full and breaking out.........
I love the big old gum trees in the creeks...........
storms were brewing to the south...........
the water was catching the light..........it is so pretty.........
and a sprinkle dampened us in the end.........but rewarded us with this rainbow as the shower approached......it was big and strong and you can just see the double starting.......but it didn't go to a full arc..........
With the Queens Holiday yesterday(granted on her death) I decided to make it an extra long weekend by taking today off.........The Queens funeral service was so beautiful..........
I watched the whole service earlier in the week and it didn't finish until just after 2am (my time) and I stayed awake........I did stitch some of Lucy in between watching...........
I had a zoom last night with the 8-9 Scrub Stitchin' girls and popped in a few more stitches........slowly getting there............
Have a great weekend..........
Catch you later.......
Chookyblue......

Hearing of the rain north and west of Sydney I did wonder if you were still above water. Thanks for the pics.
I also watched the funeral service and it was certainly amazing. A great opportunity for me to be part of a world wide experience.

Shame I had to work and missed the zoom.
Your place looks so different with water and greenery. LOL

My goodness, certainly some water laying about & here I was thinking we'd had a lot with it being in places I've never seen it before. Aren't our gums beautiful, but can be wayward with limb dropping & becoming uprooted quickly having such a shallow root system for a large tree. Being so hilly around here, we've had a few minor landslips from all the rain too. Saw some of the royal proceedings & found it all very emotional, as I remember her becoming Queen when I was 3. Glad you got in a bit of stitching and it was a public holiday here in Vic. yesterday anyway for "football", weird.....Take care & hugs.

Yay for rain! Your landscape looks beautiful, and after all that hard work, I’m sure your property is looking gorgeous, too.

Gosh you've had some rain - I thought we'd had plenty but not compared to your place.

The funeral was magnificent - those overhead shots in the Abbey and St George's Chapel and the Grenadier Guards carrying the coffin!
