bits of this and that...........

Our part of the world sure is chilly at present............icey winds.........snow in some of the once a year or two snow places..........
We've had quite a few foggy days.............so thick and wet you need the windscreen wipers on.................
I had a couple of zoom sessions on the weekend as it was not nice weather wise............so good to spend some time on self care sewing and socialising..............I worked on a flannel quilt............sorry cannot share photos here yet............lovely to see those who were on..........they were very quiet..........lol............I know that may surprise some............
I've found some cool fungi while out fencing and wood cutting.............
This orange one I always love to find...........I feel like its a bonus as its so rare that I get to see it............but its grown around the little twigs here also.............
the patterns inside the hollow logs are works of art............

And finally here's a piece of wood that I put into the fire last night............
look at all the patterns that have been made on the timber..............
glad I stopped and took the photos before I threw it in the fire..............
Ok best run off to work.............
Catch you later..........
Chookyblue.......

Definitely cool fungi and wood patterns! Sorry I didn't make zoom, we've been having camera issues, hopefully sorted now. Fingers crossed.

And I hope to be camping this weekend down near Goulburn. Could be a little chilly there too.
Stay warm, make another quilt.

wee bit chilly here yesterday. I couldn't get warm & i was all rugged up. Tempted to go & buy a heated blanket if this keeps up. Love the nature photos. The orange fungi is spectacular. It was lovely to catch up on Zoom. Wish i didn't have to leave early but those leaves needed to be gotten rid of.

Beautiful photos! It's such a good idea to stop and take a minute to really look around you. Lots of beauty, even in the middle of winter!

Your nature photos are fantastic! The piece of wood sort looks like a sperm whale or snout of a dragon. Or, maybe I need another cup of tea?!? Thanks for sharing the photos!

It was nice to join in briefly on those zoom sessions from not so chilly Qld. Isn’t nature amazingly pretty at times.
