Flooded again....

A 3 km walk in gumboots is not what I would recommend everyday..........
You can't go any direction from the house without having to cross water.......
One challenge of being in the bush and trying to get a walk in.....
Atleast it wasn't slippery like it was the other day when I did a shorter walk......
A few things to take pics of so I can share here.....
Hopefully back soon.....
Catch you later.....
Chookyblue......

Keeping the love of blogging alive.....

Still beautiful. Love the reflections in the water.

Hello Donna,

Australia is certainly a land of great contrasts at times. At least your dams will be full. Don,t like the idea of walking that far in gum boots though.

Happy days.

Love your photos, and we always say there is more money in mud than dust! Glad your season is good.

Lovely pics. So, as you can't get to work I'm sure you can paddle across to the Chook Shed.

It might be soggy, but the reflections are great! Happy paddling!

we are downstream from all of this rain, near the Murray waiting with bated breath to see what will happen. High rivers are so exciting! They flush all the bad away. Hope things stabilise soon for you!

walking in gumboots adds a whole new degree of difficulty to a walk - who needs fancy ankle weights ??

Jan said...

Fabulous pics, Chooky. I hope all that rain was welcome. Happy wading - er - walking.

Argh! Hope you are getting some quilting time in all this wetness. I seem to remember last year reading all about your horrible drought. Mother nature can be cruel. Take care!

Such a contrast to a few years ago...that poem springs to mind, ' a land of flooding rains'.
