A 3 km walk in gumboots is not what I would recommend everyday..........
You can't go any direction from the house without having to cross water.......
One challenge of being in the bush and trying to get a walk in.....
Atleast it wasn't slippery like it was the other day when I did a shorter walk......
A few things to take pics of so I can share here.....
Hopefully back soon.....
Catch you later.....

So are you flooded or only surrounding areas
Still beautiful. Love the reflections in the water.
Hello Donna,
Australia is certainly a land of great contrasts at times. At least your dams will be full. Don,t like the idea of walking that far in gum boots though.
Happy days.
Bev
It's either too wet or too dry... I think wet is better ??
At least you're getting beautiful photos!!
My goodness. Either feast or famine! :-)
You are living in a country with extreme weather conditions indeed! Great photos, though!
Beautiful pics, we sure do get the extremes :)
Love your photos, and we always say there is more money in mud than dust! Glad your season is good.
Lovely pics. So, as you can't get to work I'm sure you can paddle across to the Chook Shed.
It might be soggy, but the reflections are great! Happy paddling!
Oh my goodness! You need an ark! Definitely feast or famine in the bush! Keep those toes dry x
Oh dear....maybe you should be swimming instead of walking.....lol
Oh dear....maybe you should be swimming instead of walking.....lol
Our river peaked and has now gone down...you should see plenty of luscious green soon :)
we are downstream from all of this rain, near the Murray waiting with bated breath to see what will happen. High rivers are so exciting! They flush all the bad away. Hope things stabilise soon for you!
My goodness, walking in gumboots, that is a challenge!! We did that here in NZ yesterday!! ☺ I hope things grow beautifully for you after all this water.
Hope it does not last long. Still beautiful scenery though.
Sigh...love the photos - esp the bottom one - love a good lake!!!
We have lots of these views as well ... They say more is coming 💖💖💖💖
Hopefully it comes back to normal very soon.
No good. Hope back to normal soon
Is it a disaster, or ablessing? Whatever - stay safe!

Rain is a good thing! Enjoying the view via your photographs! Cheers!
walking in gumboots adds a whole new degree of difficulty to a walk - who needs fancy ankle weights ??
Fabulous pics, Chooky. I hope all that rain was welcome. Happy wading - er - walking.
Argh! Hope you are getting some quilting time in all this wetness. I seem to remember last year reading all about your horrible drought. Mother nature can be cruel. Take care!
Sorry about the flooding. Hugs♥

oh--sorry about all the flooding--but please remember when you were in a drought and had to sell so many cattle off to survive!!! I still remember those heart breaking posts you wrote--
love and laughter, di

Oh boy, looks like it is happening again around our area too... hope it doesn't get worse. xx
Such a contrast to a few years ago...that poem springs to mind, ' a land of flooding rains'.
