lanterns update.....

Had such a good catch up last day on zoom...... We had lots of girls on for most of the time..... Plenty of regulars......Marina hasn't been on for ages so was lovely to see her again.....
we had some new girls join us this time.......Canada Rose Marie, USA Katie, Aus Ondrea, Aus Christine and Aus Helen x3, Helen Qld ended up not getting in properly as she had camera issues but she has that sorted now......Helen NSW a friend from Scrub Stitchin' that doesn't blog and Helen in Victoria....... The sidebar had been updated..... Lucky I told the newbies to check their links as I had a few mistakes...... To much chatting going on while I was fiddling doing that on the side.......
We ended up sewing until 5pm......i did ok but don't think I was sewing as fast as usual..... Too many distractions...... Great distractions and I kept sitting my sewing down..... oops.....
Sunday saw us lamb marking again...... That's the end........ Thank goodness..... Love hate job but very satisfying once completed......
we were talking about spiders sewing...... This is the big one that lives in the storage fridge at the sheep yards..... Hence I never go to get anything out of it...... He's big...... Not as big as the one that was in the Chookshed that I was telling you about......
we had some wonderful rain yesterday......we maybe having a visitor this weekend so of course it would rain....... Beautiful 45mm.....
ok best go do some jobs...... Enjoying an extra long weekend with a few more days attached.......
Catch you later.....
Chookyblue.....

If I saw a spider that bit ANYWHERE I'd have to take care of it with a shotgun.
And yes, zoom was another good time!! Thank you for keeping us together.

It was fun to catch the tail end of your Zoom. Have to laugh--I enlarged the two photos of your Zoom screen to see how many I recognized, and in the second photo, there I am looking like I am leading the choir. Mouth open, arms out. What was I doing?!? LOL
You are really coming along on the lantern quilt.
Oh, that spider would have me not wanting to open its door and disturb it (so it wouldn't disturb me)!

It was a great zoom session. I think we all get a lot out of them. I'll stick with my toy spider thank you.
Oh yes! Your visitor is going to get you using your quilt frame isn't she. Relax and have fun with it. There will be knots and birds nests, but once you get your tension sorted and learn to relax, it really is fun and very satisfying.

It was lovely to finally sit in on a zoom session I was a bit nervous being my first time but everyone was so helpful and chatty. Thank you for a great zoom experience.

As always a lovely time on Zoom. I remember when my oldest 2 were little & as i got out of the shower they were carrying on about a spider. Thinking it was just a little one i put back on my glasses & there is was a huge huntsman. Gave me a fright as it was about the size of my hand. Luckily he was near the kitchen window & i could encourage him out. Have fun with your visitor & with your quilt frame. Hugs, xx

It was great catching up on Saturday. How’s Leo going? Lovely to get that rain, but of course it is before visitors are due. I hope they can get through.

You are doing well with your lanterns. We used to get spiders like that in Lancefield. Not any more. If you run out of flrysprayuse hairspray. It makes them stiff and they falloff the wall, giving you time to catch/squish them however you want. They can’t run away.

Your lanterns are coming along so well. We sometimes get spiders like that here. Have fun with your visitors, hope the Ginger Fluff sponge is enjoyed!

I am sorry I couldn't zoom this time, next time. Can I just say you have made my heart sing today with these little blue bells they have always been my favourite wild flower, so delicate, so fine and usually found in harsh areas and you have captured them beautifully in that photo. I just love it.

So sorry I missed Zooming this time. Hopefully will be able to catch up next time. Your lanterns are really coming along. Bet you can now see the light at the end of the tunnel! Oh sorry, that was a bad pun indeed! Have fun stitching and hope the spiders stay away!

It was so lovely talking to you in person rather than through the keyboard after all these years of blogging. I had such a wonderful day. Must have as I stayed for over 8 hours! LOL!
