How lucky do I feel..................

While I sit here quitely (before the kids get home) I wonder why I love blogging so much...........

I mean there are the bad things like

.............even more time spent on the computer

...............being blamed for someone else starting an addiction - opps I mean a blog of their own.......

........or getting them to join in projects or eat more yummy food......lol

...............so many more WIP's

but.........I have broad shoulders I can take it............because..............

then there are the good things (not that the bad were very bad)

making friends all around the world (your in my house everyday)

my world is so much more important now and I want to travel to many different countries to see even more things (need to win lotto)

sharing ideas

constantly being inspired by other bloggers beautiful work

joining fun swaps (and hosting one)

sometimes getting to meet bloggers for real (heaps of fun highly recommended if possible)

more time sewing

improving my photography skills

making my own range of cards (more markets on Saturday)

enjoying a positive encouraging international community of bloggers

&&&&&&&&&&&&&

Why am I thinking so much well as this is my three hundreth post I felt I should reflect a little and appreciate what has come into my life since blogging...............all the beautiful comments from people astound me and it means a lot to me when people take the time to comment...............

Who would have thought me and my little computer could spread so far out in the world..............

I hope you enjoy and appreciate my blog as much as I enjoy the blog experience.....it is a unique and special world that really only bloggers "get" as some of my non blogging friends think is a little "weird"..............

To my friends imaginery or not thank you for making this a wonderful fun time..............

I FEEL VERY LUCKY...............

and as usual for a celebration I will do a little draw so if you are out there and followed my blog for ages, new to my blog, a lurker who never comments now is the time............I would love to know you are there.............and I know I have lots of visitors all the time who don't comment .......don't be afraid....it is easy to do.....

If you are anonymous leave your first name and email address...............so I can find you

.........take care til next time.....Chookyblue.........

Yes very much agree with sentiments expressed, especially for those of us who are living alone and while not lonely, blogging still adds a lovely stretching elements to life.
Like yourself to improve my photography, to gain motivation from the work of others, and probably what I enjoy most are the variety of worlds, from quilting, to frugal living, gracious living and shabby chic, home decor, gardening, Cooking blogs, Christian blogs, Embroidery blogs.
So many ponds in which to tip a toe.

wow - 300 posts. i'm not even up to 100 yet. i spend way too much time reading and not enough time writing blog entries.
i have to agree with you about the wonderful friendships - even though i live in the city, surrounded by lots of people, i still feel a bit isolated. since i started blogging i've made so many friends - with the same interests as me. the only downside is not being able to meet them but other than that, it's been great.
thanks for your blog - i've said it before, but i'll say it again - you've been a constant source of inspiration for me - right down to the scones louis and i had for lunch today. thank you

But Donna , it works both ways and you have to think about what you give to us as well - you share all your crafts and your photos - you give a glimpse of country Australia to all your international visitors and for a country girl turned city girl like me, every photo of your rural life brings back memories.
Thankyou ChookyBlue

You are so true. A lot of girls that started blogging at the same time as I did (soon two years ago) have stopped. Why I don't know, but what's keeping me still blogging is all the wonderful bloggers I learn to know. The great friendship all over the world that I would have missed if I not blogged. So keep on blogging and I'll be visiting you.

Hey Donna! WOWSERS!! 300 posts! Think how much stitching you could've done if you'd sewn instead of blogged?!?! Tee! Hee! Hee! But then, you'd have missed out on meeting heaps of fun (some slighty nutty!!) fellow bloggers from all round the world!! I started blogging as an experiment and admit I'm now hooked - on writing AND reading! I visit my bloggy friends, like Chookyblue, often. One day we'll have to all congregate somewhere for a HUGE party!! Uh oh! Batten down the hatches!! Congrats on your 300 milestone and here's to many more to come! Bear Hugs! KRIS (Tag Along Teddies)

You have summed everything up so beautifully, and you are right, if you don't blog, you probably don't get it. I never thought I'd be a blogger, and felt that I could never come up with anything to write about, but somehow, day to day life provides little things that you hope will be interesting to others, and you get the pleasure of sharing. If someone tells you to get a life, maybe you should start a blog. I enjoy your blog very much, and congratulations on 300 posts, I hope it is just the beginning of many more.

Congrats on your 300th post! I joined the blogging community this year, yes its addictive but I have never felt like I've had so many friends before. I get the biggest buzz when a comment appears on my blog, especially when it's someone I haven't heard of before. I get lost for hours bloghopping and leaving comments.
I'm originally from Central Queensland and now in Tassie, we certainly live in a beautiful country

So many people call their blogging friends "imaginary friends" - or at least their families do. There is NOTHING imaginary about them however. Virtual is a better description - or even "unmet" - but they certainly exist and are real. I just can't imagine going back to a life before blogging - the good things so far outweight the few bad.

Patti said...

Oh dear - I almost forgot! Congratulations on reaching your 300th post!

Oh Chooky, I feel exactly the same as you do about blogging and the bit about others "not getting it" is so true. It is a unique community one that I never thought I would be part of or would suit me, but I just love it. It has made me much more productive, and to share with people who"get it" is such a buzz. Finding all those people out there in the world just like us is very comforting. Thanks so much for your blog and your friendship, not to mention all the technical advice!! Hope you are having a good market.
