This is eggciting............

We interrupt this house cleaning/ binding sewing to bring you my most eggciting news today.............my new chooks (which I have been slack and not shown you) have finally laid an egg and it is blue...............see below a normal brown egg and then my new blue egg..........it is pale blue...........so eggciting............

I am sure that I am still half asleep. Can you explain why a blue egg is a good thing! I have no idea about chooks or eggs...obviously! But if I saw a blueish egg ... I wouldnt be eating it! Jo x

This is so funny! We have blue, green and brown shades of color for our eggs. Typically organically grown so we get them from a local farmer or the "Chicken Lady". The grocer sells only white. The insides of the organic eggs are usually a deeper golden yellow than the store bought.
