a hive of activity...........

wow finally a holiday that felt longer then shorter..........
I signed off for a few days while the kids had their last 2 days at school then I had a phone call from a girlfriend and the possabilty that she may come up so that was a slight panic "I haven't done anything in this house for a few days" so madly washing, tidying, vacumning etc, making beds incase she did come............
Then we had a day trip shopping where we met up and did a beading course with our 2 girls (more on that later)
My girlfriend and her daughter did come up for a few days and her daughter had just picked up a new basic machine. So we had to get her going on that.........with a few tears and "I can't do this" from her she finally got some projects finished......super excitement her first projects..........
This was my floor during last week...........will post more about them all later........I didn't really get much time to sew due to the fact that 4 people wanted me to show them how to do something or cut something ...........want want want so I just gave up on trying to do anything for myself and got them all finished up............
Bookworm had some mates out and they all did a bit of sewing too.........that was fun
I have lots to show so will get some posts organised and show you what we achieved...........
Catch you later..............
Chookyblue
PS I have finally got some time for my sewing too..........supposed to be back at work tomorrow but will have to see if it rains to much............the dirt roads aren't too good at the moment with rain...........

Even though you might not have been able to do your own sewing, give yourself a pat on the back for inspiring and helping others! Wish I could get to my machine and sew up a storm.

You are a nice friend to help others to sew. Wish you were here inspiring me too.
Great post about blog etiquette. I am still new to blogging and need to learn everything.
A lack of readers and comments is discouraging.

Still looks like a lot of fun! Teaching can be very rewarding even if you didn't get anything crossed off your list!

We all should have a friend call to say they're dropping by every once in a while so we can do a tidy up.
sounds like a good week.

Wow, 3 quilts all laid out. I think that's a lot of work. I know how you feel, some days life gets in the way and I can't get to my sewing machine, even for a few minutes. Though time spent with friends is a fun reason not to sew.

Please don't go madly washing, tidying, vacuuming when we come. I am quite at home with mess LOL. Not long now I can hardly wait.
