garden babies............

I let all the calves in to the garden on the weekend to eat some green lawn.......
mostly they are going well.........
...we lost one on Tuesday.........maybe a snake as we've had a lot floating around............

4 of the 5 in this photo below are ones I am feeding..............
Not sure there is any assistance we can get from the Federal Government announcements yesterday..........need some more details which are hard to find.........have to wait and see.........
Catch you later

why do government make it so hard,i notice Safeway here have drought fund tins at each register which is run by the salvation army,a good way to donate and help our farmers.
I suppose the snakes will be coming closer to the house looking for water, your calves are cute chooky, take care my friend and see you soon.xx

You have had great success with your poddies Chooky - always so disheartening when you lose one. Winter was always the worst for losses here. There are always barriers involved with the government funding isn't there - I remember my son applying for help during the last drought and being refused because he had been sourcing off farm employment to buy groceries - so we ended up buying them for him for a while - just so damned unfair when those who are in need are refused when they have the get up and go to try to survive. I hope there is something in the package for you and all of the other farmers who are at desperation point.

Praying for success with the calves and the management of your garden lol...... but thankful they can at least get some grass there! Praying for rain and cooler weather to help relieve the drought.

Those photos remind me of all the calves I have reared in the past. Each one soon develops its own character
