Churn Dash Quilt.......

6/9 in the crazy binding blitz..........we are honing in.......the end is in site.............I am nearly finished the 9th quilt........ Don't drop dead with shock!!!!!!
Just need to keep working on it..........every stitch counts........
I started making this quilt at a Cottage on the Hill retreat back in 2010.........
I found the pattern in a magazine and picked out the fabrics at Kerry's while on retreat..........of course I never do anything the same size as the pattern so this got upsized i'm pretty sure...........
Actually just reading one of the other posts I have done and it was upsized by adding a row on one side and bottom.......... If you want the pattern let me know in the comments and I'll go find the magazine......

So as I said started at retreat....nothing to show but a bundle of blocks......I'm sure I made more progress over the years but once again the crazy sewing blitz of late Dec 2017 had a flow on effect for 2018
Lots of progress happened early 2018 here, here and  here
Lots more cutting for this quilt done with Jenny when she was here one weekend...........
Finished the top back in March 2018 while at Fiona's........link here...
This was beautifully quilted by my friend Jude last year........
love the churn dash block and love the quilt setting on point.............
This quilt fills me with warmth and old style with the blocks and fabric choice so I decided to go out on the old combine and take the pics............

I love too many of the pics to not share them........
they will end up in my blog book........
playing with the angle also............
the most boring pic........
Started 2010 finished 2022
Name Churn Dash
Fabrics - mixed
Size - 86 x 72inchs

Ok off sewing again since it has still been raining approx 40mm...... Looks like I'll be at him he for a few more days yet...... Missed out on a free motion quilting workshop today...... Got to love my long dirt boggy road.....

Keep the love of blogging alive......
Catch you later.......

This is my kind of quilt, Chooky! Churn Dash is my favorite block, too, but I have only ever made it in minis or baby quilts. Love this to bits. I really should make one large enough for my bed someday. Love all the photos, love the color, love the quilting. Just a warm and cozy feel!

I’m also inspired by your photo shoot. Awesome pictures! Even tho' I’m not blogging anymore, I still like to have pretty pictures of my quilts, and I haven’t bee very good about that lately. Have a wonderful day!

Another beautiful finish.
Such a shame you missed the class, but hopefully there will be others.
If you are binding 9/9 now, what will you work on in the Zoom meet tomorrow?

Those colours are absolutely lovely. They would be perfect in my living room...Now if I can just convince Harvey that we need another quilt.

God bless.

It was worth the wait. I love the rich colours. Jude’s quilting was the perfect finishing touch.

Another fabulous finish... I thought I recognised it when I saw it. Very wet Toowoomba at the moment. Friday Nights at the shop are no more but Mr Bubz garden is doing well.... Keep going with those quilts..

This must be the churn dash you were talking about. It is so pretty and would be very nice in scraps.
