FG Love......

This was the first Moda Love quilt that I made.......
This one got finished 24th April but I had to many other posts to do so posting now...............
The pattern can be found here........It works with a layer cake, charm pack and mini charm pack......
I love quilt photo shoots but restricted myself to share only 6 pics here............
this photo was right when I finished it.............
I started this quilt back on Oct 2014 and finished it a few days later......links here and here.........I started using a layer cake but as I had used a few pieces from it in something else I added some French General fabrics from my stash...........with a couple of others thrown in..........
Honestly cannot remember who quilted it..........its been languishing in the binding pile for to many years.............But love the quilting design on it.........and its got a nice high loft......feels very snug............
I was thinking of calling it French Star back then but as my love for French General has grown it will be FG Love aka French General Love..........
reflecting the fabric and pattern designs.............
I decided it didn't want or need borders and measures 72inx72in quilt............
I just adore this backing fabric............
I thought this one might be given to someone but really not sure I can part with it............
Thanks for the push Rose Marie.........
Now in one of those posts about this quilt it mentioned and shows a pic about making a mini quilt with the same fabrics............no idea where that is or the fabrics and I am sure I had not sewn it together.......OMG...........better send out the search party for that one...........
Have you made a Moda Love Quilt????
It's a great pattern as very effective and quick to make up........
Keep the love of blogging alive......
Catch you later................
Chookyblue...........

Fantastic quilt and amazing photography.

It definitely did turn out beautifully. I’d have trouble parting with it too. It is also a good size for a bed. Nice and warm looking for winter.

Oh, it is gorgeous! As much as you love this FG Love, I think you should keep it and enjoy it.
Several years ago, in preparation for a retreat, I took a layer cake and some other random fabrics and decided how to lay it out to make the LOVE pattern. I stayed busy with other projects at retreat and never pulled that one out. And I still haven't pulled it out. Maybe you have inspired me to put it on my list for this year. We'll see. Like everyone else, I never get to everything I plan to do in a year.
