Chookshed party for one update.......

Today I finished up the other binding that needed the extra strip added..........then I attached the one above.........
When there is no one to entertain the food is very boring at the Chookshed party........Lots a noodles cuppa soup and some croutons..............
the sun was out today and catching the plants nicely.........you can see a couple of old machines in the bottom of the pic.........
I got two more Double Churn Dash blocks made..........as I am unsure what size this is as in 9,12 or 16 blocks I thought best to get 4 done......yet to cut the actual Churn Dash quilt I am making to start with......there's lots of chatter and excitement about the Churn Dash SAL so that is great.........
A few of you have been sending me pics of different variations............very tempting.........
its going to be interesting to see what everyone makes and the colours they choose...........
Remember 1/4 of your blocks made by end of June......
In my tidying up and sorting out I found some more Lucy fabrics cut out......they are not as dull in real life as here..........but I do wonder what was going with what.........there was a couple more fabrics with them that were not cut so I need to have a good look and nut some blocks out......no I don't need any more but yes I will probably be still making some....
Really its Lou's fault she zoomed in for a cuppa and she was joining some more Lucy......

So what did you make today???
I know a few of you said you were sewing so be lovely to see it.........
Keep the love of blogging alive..........
Catch you later.......
Chookyblue......

Hi Chooky. I got my baby quilt sewn and quilted. Now to hand stitch the binding down. You had better get a move on with your churn dash blocks. Janice has finished this months. Hope you get more sewing completed tomorrow

Well done on another binding....and the churn dash blocks are great. What did I do today? Well, I put away most of the Stuff bought in Canberra, sewed some diamonds....that's about all, really.

How disappointing that the girls couldn’t get through. I’m glad you are still spending time in your favourite place. I have my churn dash blocks for June completed, stitching on Thursday and Friday nights. Looking forward to working on the next batch of 10. Today I completed all my RSC blocks. I’m thinking I may try to do 15 minutes a day this month.

The borders I put on during our last blogger Zoom call were removed this week and new ones put on. I just couldn't stand the first ones. I like those double churn dash blocks. And a cup of noodle soup is lovely on a cold day.

What a cool idea to add crotons to noodles cuppa soup!! Come winter over here, I'll have to give it a try!! That is a gorgeous quilt you are binding - love the colors!! I finished up quilting a customer's quilt this morning and she is coming to get it later today. This afternoon I am going to try to figure out how to keep my Churn Dash points. Thanks to you and Janet O for your suggestions. I love making Lucy blocks but have not made any in, like, forever!! Oh, look, something shiny!!

I spent most of the day cutting red fabric, sewing magic 8 blocks, cutting pressing & then starting to trim before going out to do yard work. I'll be back to trimming this morning & hope to get another red & white block made. The churn dash blocks look lovely. Hugs, xx

It was a shame your guests couldn't get through, but it was also great to be able to hang out with you and chat while we sewed.
Your churn dashes look great. And I'll look forward to some more Lucy blocks soon? LOL
I'm off to make pickled onions.

Love those double churn blocks. I did manage to cut out a dress, pair of shorts and change the thread on my machine.... Not much but I will be in the sewing/craft room bright and early tomorrow to see how far I can get.

I even managed to get the strips ironed and ready to go.

God bless.

Very nice double churn dashes. I looked up several online tonight and am narrowing down my ideas. I hope to get started this week, but I need a plan first.

I am the only guilty one? Well I had to get my revenge back for you forcing me to have a blog and using some of my fabric to make a churn dash patchwork quilt :) :) :) Have you seen this (scroll down for a picture of the pattern) : https://quiltjane.com/nested-churn-dash-qal-lets-get-started/ I am thinking of making the block with three churn dashes - maybe you would like to try it and let us know how it works? ;) What have I been doing in my creative chaos? No sewing this week - like you I am sorting the chaos and have been preparing the fabric coupons for the churn dash - most are now washed and ironed, then I need to make a plan ...

Just catching up on a bunch of your posts - love reading about the shearing - some of Marty's family live on a station, so it all sounds familiar but I don't ever actually see it.
I'm so sorry that the little lamb died, such a sweet face, I would have been heartbroken!
Your double churn dash blocks are so tempting ... they look fabulous!
*hugs*
