There was a friend at my retreat the other week she had her Ikea trolley, you know the one with 3 levels, totally organised with her projects in chinese containers all labelled and tools on the top then her block mat fit on the top of the trolley, envy there.
Next time I will take more sewing to do by machine the lounges weren't comfy enough, too laid beack to sit and hand sew.
Have fun at retreat! See I missed a few zooms. Hope to catch-up next time
Oh, I hope you get to go this time!!!
We are having a stormy week, too, but the roads are paved, so I can go wherever. ;)
Let's see--must haves for a retreat? An Ott light for my old eyes, a "Purple" gel chair cushion (Purple is the brand name), and it seems like there is something else. Oh yes, good quality dark chocolate! And if there is room I'll take my featherweight machine and some projects. LOL
You're well organized. Love, love, love your wooden spoolholder. Have fun on the retreat. I always be sure to take "herriestoppers" with me. Dont know the english word. They are soft and little and you put them in your ears.
Enjoy your retreat - and I too love your spool holder! xx
Somebody had better write me a list of essentials, I've never been on retreat before....
LOL Forgot to say. Have fun, lots of photos please.
Love the spool holder. A certain someone may have a new project soon. Couldn't get onto Zoom, hopefully I'll learn one day. Enjoy your retreat. Take care and hugs.
Have fun at your retreat! My 'must take' is my own pillow.....always.
My must not forget items is too many project. You always need a choice of what to work on. And of course. WINE.. and more WINE.
I hope you have a great time!
Have a wonderful time on retreat! Christine xx
I have to take my chair back, it's a folding insert that sits on top of the chair and gives support to my lower back which most chairs don't. Have a great time!
Happy sewing and don't forget the power board. Oh and the bottle of "bubbles". Enjoy.
My must haves are: My reading glasses, not that I read at retreats, I need them for hand sewing and everything near AND my sewing mojo ;)
Miss Elizabeth is coming along nicely. I have everything crossed that you finally make it to a retreat. For me, good lighting is the most important thing and a variety of projects. Have fun.
machine foot pedal, power cord & feet....essentials
I always bring more than I can do just in case. At least two projects are a must for me. There have been times when my friend arrives at retreat having left necessary project fabric home and was glad she brought a second project just in case.
Catch up reading time - omg - lucky you having sewing, shopping and quilty fun with buddies - an awesome bunch of people. For my next sewing retreat I must remember to TAKE MY PASSPORT!!! hehe
