Felfies and a challenge for Miss Ric Rac..........

It was a day of "Felfies" (farmer selfies)
I wanted to share the sky with you............I know not very glamorous of me but hey what do you expect.......the cows won't notice if my hair and makeup is done............
the clouds had me intriged today........not rainy ones but wispy and constantly changing........
the blue sky was very blue..........a stunning sky..........
up the side of the silo too.............
Now here is a challenge for Miss Ric Rac.........
her brain works in way we will never know so if anyone is going to find a use for bale twine she will..........we have bundles of it that will go to the tip.........surely there is something we could do with it..........create something...........it's a light yellow colour.......
I walked in the door at 8.30pm after feeding all day to a call from a friend checking up on me and a good mail day tucked under my arm.............
I will go to bed feeling blessed tonight..............THANKYOU...........
Catch you later

All that bale twine reminds me of the macrame I used to do in the 70's. Do you need a hanging planter? Get yourself some nice big wooden beads and a pattern and you're off! ..And I might have a pattern around here somewhere. ;)

Take care,

I was going to say macramé plant hangers as well. Weave it into a mat or a rug hook mat!!!

A bit of rain certainly lifts the spirits. Hope there is some more to come. Good to hear your friends are looking out for you too!

It IS nice bald twine...must be something you could do. Ours is either bright blue or pink.

Great to see a glimpse of the old chooky. I was going to say take up macrame also and like Annie it is a nice neutral colour.

mmmm Macrame was my first thought - or cover it in strips and make bags, placemats etc.

Gorgeous selfies, got to keep it real! Binding twine is handy stuff, we always have some old bits on the bikes and in coat pockets, all good until it goes through the washing machine... I curse the stuff then!

Donna could you have a look at my blog a few posts ago I was talking about some small quilts friends made as a challenge using my scraps. There are now available to be auctioned and I ( we ) would like to help someone in the farming world. could you message me your thoughts.... please.

We have really thick baling twine from the 8' x 6' bales. My mum plaited a lead rope for their horses once with the stronger twine. Many uses, but time is 'it'.

Balertwine, almost as many uses as duct tape! I have a nifty woven rug made with baling twine.

I haven't the foggiest what you can do with the bailing twine. I have just been reading your blog, I hope things start to improve for you soon. Due to ill health I haven't been blog surfing in almost a year. I was shocked to read how things are for you...

A single figure, a man long in years and short in stature walks. His clothes are faded indigo blue. Behind him walks his wire haired dog, this dog loves this man more than life itself and in a quiet way , the man feels the same. They head to town where the man hopes to sell the twigs and sticks he has gathered (bailing twine). They rest when they need to and walk slowly. They have a curious peace.
