My heart breaks for you and your family. We're complaining about too much snow here in NH, but I'd send every flake to you if it were possible and if it would help. I'm a city girl - my garden is in pots on the porch, so I can't begin to fathom what you, your family and your neighbors are going through. I hope your government steps up quickly to help and someone figures out how to deal with this in the future. If we don't help one another, there really is no purpose to life. Sending you all prayers for rain - slow, steady, long-lasting rain!
Very good article, the human cost is what most don't consider. I know first hand how circumstances can affect people, especially farmers who can't control all aspects of their business (like the weather and the markets). 10 years ago I lost my husband to suicide, so my heart goes out to you all, and hope that you can get through this.

This is raw, so well written and speaks from the heart of someone who has lived it.
