Thanks and I need your help...............

Thanks so much for all your support........it is much appreciated.......some days are easier then others some are very difficult like today............
drought is really difficult and makes you feel very isolated at times......
I have thought of a way your could help............
do some posts on your blogs, istagram, facebook, twitter, whatever it is talk about the drought to your family, kids, friends and neighbours, politicians anyone who will listen.............make sure people know this is going on in the cities.............we need everyone talking about this...........more areas are getting dry.....people running out of water, carting water.....more breeding stock going to slaughter.............
meat prices may not have dropped to reflect the prices some people are getting at the moment but let me assure you once this drought breaks if there is any stock left on farms the farmers will be hanging on to it and you will not be able to afford to buy it at the butchers or supermarkets............
so show your support..........do some posts......feel free to use one of my images from this week....
come out to the country for a visit............
the better support people have now the better they will be emotionally too...............
already I know in our situation it will take years to recover.....
and this is no where near over yet............
.........take care til next time.....Chookyblue.........

I have just published a post on the drought Chooky that has actually taken me 2 weeks to write - I hope many more of your followers get on board to get the info on the drought and it's effects on our farmer's.

I've just done a blog post, Chooky; happy to help but sad that it's necessary. Have been quite impressed with Barnaby Joyce for once; I hope drought assistance packages are available quickly and I hope they're enough, or at least a good start. Meanwhile, here's a big hug, Chooky; I do hope you and your family are as okay as you can be. xx

Keep posting, keep telling it like it is, the word has to get out. For those that can't deal with it or only want to see the happy sewing Chookyblue then this blog wasn't the place for them in the first place. It is a record of yours and your family's life and no apologies need to be made for that. This is sadly what you and so many other families on the land are living now. My heart breaks for you and I hope their is some relief in some form sooner rather than later. Hugs xx

I posted this with commentary on my facebook page: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-02-08/drought-affected-nsw-farmers-get-psychological-boost/5247396 to my facebook page.

If it weren't for your blog I wouldn't have even heard about your drought. We're in the middle of the coldest winter in 25 years so people are discounting "global warming" even more. Sigh. Science has a very uphill battle in the States these days.

So sorry this is happening; I'll keep praying for rain.

I do not subscribe but I drop in weekly. Your blog helps me keep in touch with rural Australia. Your farm posts are the ones I enjoy most.

It's an unfair world - we have farmers over here who have been flooded for the past 5 weeks with no end in sight, like yourselves their livestock is suffering and who knows when the ground will recover.
Hope things ease up for you soon, and there is some help from your government to improve things for you.

My heart goes out to you as our area is going through the same thing and it is heartbreaking. Please don't think you are alone, I some times think I could write a book on our struggles and the heartache we have been through in the last few years as I know you could.
Take heart in the fact that we do have some wonderful people around as the comments on your page shows and the likes of the hay drive to Bourke this weekend keeps the spirit of Australia alive. Take care and try and look after yourself and your husband. Carol
