Sat/zoom.........Part 3

Saturday started bright and early with zoom at 6am...........all the blog girls joined in either in the room or when the echo was playing up Jenny went outside and found Sue........
Even Jo @ Butter Z got out of bed for this which was a major milestone........as we all know mornings and Jo don't mix.........but then it was the "zoom girls"
Anyway back to Jenny and Sue they did the outside broadcast........Sue snapped this pic of Jennys Ipad...........I completely forgot to think of taking a pic at all............how bad is that.......I think you all enjoyed the tour around the room and the show and tell that we could find in people's spots..............was fun to have you join us even if it was only for an hour........and it was pretty hectic............
Bloggers at retreat.......
Beside Jo listed above........
Jenny @ Bird on the Border
Janice @ Jannimary
Sue @ Kiwi Kid
Jindi @ Jindi's Cottage
The outside broadcasters also captured this photo while out zooming....
Sun just rising......the ground are always so peaceful.....lots of birds including one blue faced honey eater who decided it needed to swoop everyone every time they moved between the cabins and dining room.......Only a few people using the caravan park..........nothing on at the showground while we were there so very peaceful...........Mind you every second lady in a caravan must have been a quilter..........we had a few pop there heads in and say g'day once they knew what we were doing.........
One guy was asking if we had a conference.........I said I suppose you can say that.........he then said we worked very late..........I said we are sewing and we sew from early until very very late..............
having done the second cut on the twister quilt I worked on joining more of my quilt top..........
Joining using a new to me method that Jo showed me.........
managed to not stuff it up even..........
Lea's quilt.........love it especially the pops of orange spread thru it..........
Jo's mini version made from her quilt leftovers........Janice has a stupid small twister template and challenged Jo to make this...........Of course we all know Jo likes a challenge and she had this made in no time.........She ended up turning it into placemat/cutlery holder.......
Tina was making these gorgeous pineapples...........love the colours...........can't remember if there are two or three more rows.............
it was a busy day............Mum made scones again for morning tea..........sorry no pics.......and I guess during the day I was busy and didn't think to take photos.......
Catch you later...........
Chookyblue.......

You did well with the webbing. Once you get used to sewing this way you will love it.
I did go for a nap in the afternoon though.

It was fun to see you even for a short visit. Thanks for the show and tell and trip around the grounds and for including us far flung chicks.

I haven't tried that method of joining the blocks but I have seen it and I am hoping to try it another time. Did it work well for you? Christine xx

Such a good idea to do the zoom session while you were there at SS, thanks for sharing all the pics.

Lots of great quilts made! The way you put yours together is a really good technique - I use it all the time.

It was so good to be able to share with the overseas Zoom girls. You did well with your twister. I totally stuffed up my attempt at the linked method of piecing.
