oh what a day......

Okay so we have gone past the known biggest flood here in 1981 or 1982...........unfortunately we have beaten it by about 5 inchs.........and that 5 inches went thru the workshop shed..............things are floating arounds in there...........OMG where do you start to clean a shed full of &%$#$ and some good stuff (you know a man's shed could look like).............trying to find where to put things up to was a challenge..........

even the kids "hurdie gurdie" is just about under water.........

this is the shed that got flooded...........

Water came up to the brick wall along the front of the house............

lucky the four wheeler can go lots of places.............

we have no idea how all the stock are............dh checked some but the creek runs thru our property and 1/2 is on the other side...........we have some fences washed away and with this size flood I guess most or all of the flood fences will be buggered.............so much for a "rest" over the next 2 weeks............it will be cleaning the shed and fencing and the mozzies are out in force already.............how can they do that so quick............

hopefully now more rain............and I can sleep tonight..........
Thanks for all your kind thoughts..........

Didn't you have a drought last year? It looks like an incredible amount of rain. Hope you manage to have a good Christmas in spite of all the water.

Oh Chook! I can't believe what I am seeing in these photos. We have had lots of rain here too, but nothing like that. My garden is so thankful, but yours looks like it is drowning. Will you be OK? Has it stopped? Do you have enough baked beans in the cupboard??

Hope it all receeds quickly, so you and yours can enjoy your Christmas.

Hi Chooky,

It is feats or famine lately with this weather. We have had HEAPS of rain too but we are very sandy here on the peninsula so we don't flood. It just never seems to rain over our dam. DAMN! At least you are all ok and the chrissy pressies are safe 'n' sound! Nothing worse than being flooded AND having crying children. LOL have a wonderful Christmas and stay safe.

Oh, Donna, my heart goes out to you! Hope the water is retreating now, and that there won't be too much damages! And I hope you still will be able to enjoy Christmas! Take care!

How are you going over there ?? Hope you haven't floated away. A dam wall busted here so we thankfully didn't get flooding in any buildings. Had to pack up everything though !

OMG that is just awful. I'm so sorry that your going thru this. We need rain something awful and your getting more than enough. Hang in there and let's hope you dry out soon.
Oh and I do know what a mans shed looks like. You should see my hubby's garage. OMG!!!! We could use a flood in there just to clean it out. LOL!!!!

Hope the stock is ok and the flood fences aren't too badly damaged. I also hop you will get some rest over the Christmas period.

Oh, Donna, that is a bit more rain than you had asked for, I believe. I hope it recedes soon. The beautiful flowers in each photo remind me of the beauty around despite terrible flooding. Thank you again for super Elf duties as head of the SSCS. I enjoyed the giving and the receiving. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
